Multi media composer with a versatile background in media art and music

Ben Haviour is a German composer, sound designer and audio producer whose work spans film scoring, electronic music and sound for media. Based in Weimar, he comes from a band background in Blues, Rock and Metal before developing a production practice that blends live instrumentation with electronic sound design.

He has collaborated with and produced for artists including Friedrich Liechtenstein, Bushido, Rosa von Praunheim, Liam Byrne, Martin Kohlstedt, Unzucht and Marlow, among others. His work has been featured on RTL+, SWR2, MDR, Deutschlandfunk Kultur and WDR3.

As a composer for screen, Haviour wrote the film score for Fluten, directed by Georg Pelzer, and has created soundtracks and corporate identity scoring for institutions including THAK, ETAS and Museum Neuss. His electronic releases include the debut album Melancholy Rave and singles on Traum Schallplatten, with EPs on Big Bricks Music and Bad Bat Records.

Haviour interned at Greenhouse Studios in Reykjavik, where he assisted composers Valgeir Sigurdsson and Ben Frost.
